Hope for a New Beginning from a Very Bad End

This is not going to end well. That has been understood for a long time now, at least since the end of 2016. But the need for closure of the US political disaster has reached a crescendo of longing…

You are more than enough.

What do you think would be the most unexpected thing in your life? You can’t pin it down to one, right?

Happiness, love, anger, despair- all come up when you never expect them.

But, all those actions are consequences of something we must have done. Some call it Karma, well some, fate. I’m a strong believer in Karma. Your choices, your decisions, your thoughts will definitely reflect on your actions. Be it good or bad, there’s always something you are responsible for.

So, before bragging about your innocence and blaming others, how better would it turn out if we introspect ourselves?

Social media, these days, are filled with numerous posts and quotes that relates a lot to each one of us.

Later on, people, for whom that post wasn’t meant for, come up flaunting with innumerable reasons as to why we put them up. Cooking up lies for all of them wouldn’t suffice at that point.

Well, if you really ask yourself, do we need all that?

Why do we need such dramas? If someone pops up in your mind when you come across such a post, wouldn’t it be better if we share it with that single person and let him/her know how we feel? Wouldn’t that show connection? Each and every day, we master in solving things by choosing the easiest way possible- our job, assignments, household chores, and whatnot. To portray that you have feelings, why does everyone choose the longest path?

Choose life to be simple. Overthinking and making a mess is way too mainstream! Nourish what you have. Let them know what you want. There’s no harm in letting people know how you feel. Live real, because no matter what, people have to accept you for the person you are. Enjoy the little happiness that creeps in. Rewind and replay unless you have sucked the complete joy out of it.

You know what it means to be at your best. You know what makes you happy, more than anyone else. Then, why should you ever expect others to work for the same, while you’re still there for you? We narrate stories of our downfalls and grief and indirectly beg for sympathy under the misconception that if people feel sorry for us, they would like us better and eventually turn out to be our security blanket.

If you want to feel good, do something for yourself. Don’t expect another person to back you up and push you into a smile. If you feel low, cry it out or call up someone you feel worth sharing it with. Hiding emotions never account for a solution. And unfortunately, some call it as being “matured”.

Don’t fall for the trap that things go well because there aren’t disagreements. No one in this world is similar to how you are. Everyone has got their own thoughts. Those might be stupid, but that’s what they believe in. And what you might believe won’t be something that they can accept. It’s all about the difference.

What if an artist waited for a rainbow to pop up, everytime he wished to draw one? That’s just insane. So why do we wait for happiness when we can fuel some ourselves anytime we want?
